Live preview can be found here.

Notes: 1) Sorry about the ads. I currently have the account set to Plus so that you can see the custom comments page in action. 2) The image quality of the header is a little rough, due to the fact that I needed to change the file format of the images to make them work in Internet Explorer (one of many reasons to switch to Firefox), and I don't have access to my original files at the moment. I will be replacing the header with a better quality one when I get home tomorrow night. Better quality images are now up.

If you have any questions or concerns, let me know and I'll address them as best I can. I'm also willing to make any changes to the details you'd like (font, borders, etc.).

Few reminders

This afternoon we will be having our last post episode chat here at lifeonmartha for the UK S3. Once again, it will be held on AIM in a chat room named lifeonmartha. Here's a tutorial on how to join the room without an invite.

If that doesn't work for you, IM me at lena74c and I'll invite you in.

Also, at midnight (your time zone) tonight all submissions for our layout challenge are due. Tomorrow I will compile all the entries into a poll so we can vote for our favorite.

Lastly, last week I issued a Get Martha Shagged Challenge. If you are still interested in participating, all entries are due by July 6th. I'm also tweaking it a bit to fit better in light of the finale.

one more review -- and a word of thanks

Jumping on the bandwagon, my (heartbroken) review is up.

But before you click, I just want to say thanks to everyone at lifeonmartha -- you all have made this a fun season, and more than that -- this place has been interesting and even challenging. Also, many thanks to the mods for creating this comm. It's been quite a ride.

Your comment are welcome. Click here.

BEST. FACE. EVER!!

(no subject)

I'm fairly new here but I thought I'd make a post anyway! So, here's my thing. I've only started watching Doctor Who this season because of Freema and curiosity over how the interracial thing would be handled. I have no basis of comparison of how Martha was (mis?)treated to how Rose was treated, although since we have a few months until we see any new episodes I've started to download this past season (but maybe I should start with the Ninth Doctor?) to see what all the fuss over her is about. Feel free to educate me on her if you wish!

But in watching this season and being just as frustrated as some of you that The Doctor can't seem to see what's right in front of him as far as Martha is concerned, I have to ask this question: Am I the only one who really enjoyed the finale? I really, truly hate that question and when people ask it, but I haven't really read a positive thing about it here, so I'm wondering. To be honest, the way the finale left things has me all excited about what's to come for series four.

Some thoughts on 3.13 from a lurker

Not that anyone really needs any more commentary on "Last of the Time Lords," but in this post I wax rhapsodic about the hotness of John Simm, put forth ideas on how exactly that plot might have been made to hold together, defend Martha's last scene, and expound my theory about how the episode was really a tribute to Spaced. No, really.

Well, sort of.
time and relative dimension in space, doctor who?, doctor blue box

nine doctors Martha never travelled with (but maybe should have)

We have a problem. Ten...well, he's been kind of a jerk to Martha. She's gone well beyond the call of duty in companioning him, but he's barely acknowleged it. And the fact that she's not blonde seems to be a major problem for him.

HOWEVER! There are nine other Doctors that exist. Nine other Doctors, all with their shiny blue time (and space) machines. Nine other Doctors that might even say please and thank-you! (Well, at least some of them.)

Why can't we take these Doctors--any of the nine Doctors!--and write one of them taking Martha on as their companion? Perhaps taking place instead of her meeting with Ten, perhaps set sometime in the post 3.13 future...frankly, the possibilities are endless.

If nothing else, it's an interesting thought experiment.

(And it would be kind of cool to see how Martha would interact with Classic Who companions, too.)
